APM 9.50: How to create correctly a direct link to a BPM Application Health report?

Hi,

According APM 9.50 User Guide (page 399), it should be possible to share a direct link to a BPM Application Health report by created an URL based on an URL like for example:

<<APM URL>>/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/overview/<<Entity ID>>//

Maybe I am wrong but I think the "Entity ID" is for example the Global ID of a BusinessApplication. So, for one of my applications monitored by BPM, I have gotten its "Global id" with the RTSM (somethink like "b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23")

So, I have tried several URLs but it doesn't work:

https://MY_FQDN/topaz/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/overview/b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23/
-> Display a grey page.
https://MY_FQDN/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/overview/b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23/
-> Page does not exists (HTTP ERROR CODE 403)
https://MY_FQDN/topaz/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html#/reports/overview/b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23/
-> Display a grey page.
https://MY_FQDN/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html#/reports/overview/b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23/
-> Page does not exists (HTTP ERROR CODE 403)
https://MY_FQDN/topaz/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/overview/b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23
-> Display a grey page.
https://MY_FQDN/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/overview/b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23
-> Page does not exists (HTTP ERROR CODE 403)

Do you know why it doesn't work or how to solve this?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Regards,
Christophe

Re: APM 9.50: How to create correctly a direct link to a BPM Application Health report?

Hello Christophe.

for the test please gather the CMDB ID, for this you can rigth click on the application select show then properties.

The CMDB ID will listed in the pop up window, other than I have tested the following with succesful results.

<<My FQDN>>/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_
url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/status-overview/42eef85485c913ce8137ff1aa01c751c //

<<My FDQN>>/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_
url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/status-overview/<<CMDB ID>>//

<<My FDQN>>/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_
url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/overview/<<CMDB ID>>//

Hope this helps,

Regards.

Re: APM 9.50: How to create correctly a direct link to a BPM Application Health report?

Hello gabo111,

First of all, thank your for your answer and I wish you the best for 2019!

So, I have just tested with an URL like:

https://<<My FQDN>>/login.jsp?openInNewWindow=false&if_redirect=true&portlet_
url=/topaz/aoz/apps/EUM/index.html%23/reports/status-overview/b23faf5e5d14f5e862406a2bf1b74f23//

but it doesn't work and it displays a page "HTTP ERROR 403: The requested URL displays a forbidden access".

Do you also use https? Or do you have an idea why it doesn't work for me?

Regards,

Christophe

Re: APM 9.50: How to create correctly a direct link to a BPM Application Health report?

Dear  CLEFEBVRE,

Error 403 basically means that you are not authenticating against the APM. No user or password is suppliedso the APM tells you that it does not allow access to this resource.

There should be switches in the Platform settings that allow to provide an encoded user and password in the URL but that settings needs to be manually activated. Once done, you should be able to provide credentials with the URL - the exact details on how that works exactly should be available from MF.

I hope this points you in the right direction.
