Re: Mercury AS is in starting state since long on DPS

Hi.

For this kind of issues you can check the following logs

jboss_server.log

jboss_boot.log

Nanny_all.log

Server_deployer.log

Connectionpool.log

Hac-launcher.log

Also you can go inside EJBContainer folder and check memory and topaz logs, and run a DBVerify.

You can Increase connection pool if logs are still giving errors regarding time out:

  •   BSM -> Admin -> Platform -> Infrastructure Settings->Foundations : Connection Pool:
  • Connection Pool - Connection:

--Maximum active connections : change from 80 to 250
--Maximum idle connections   : change from 80 to 250

If the errors shows issues with HornetQ, you can run the Postinstall and Config wizard, if that doesn't help with the HornetQ, you can re-install it with the following steps:

   1.  Stop everything (DPS + GW).
   2. Reinstall HornetQ in DPS ONLY:
         * Stop HornetQ via NannyManager JMX
         * Remove HornetQ data folder - HPBSM/HornetQ/data. Data fodler will be re-created automatically on the next HornetQ start.
         *  Start HornetQ via NannyManager JMX
   3. Run ConfigWizard from DPS and GW
   4. Start DPS.

If you see errors about Marbles getting out of memory, you can increase the memory used for that Marble component:
  1. You must go to the folder HPBSM\bin  and you will find configuration files and executables, which interest us are configuration files, on that folder search each Marble component.
  2.  The files that interests us is "name of Marble_vm_params component", what you have to do is change the values of memory used by that component.

  3. Remember to increase little by little until the process is stable again, because it can increase the use of RAM in excess, and add the line #dont_override to avoid the values getting back to default.

Hope this information helps with the issue.

Re: Mercury AS is in starting state since long on DPS

Hi All,

The per the scenario the BSM version is  9.25. If below step is for the same BSM version ?

As per my knowledge the HornetQ is not 9.25 BSM.

Hi,

I think BSM 9.25 uses Sonic MQ, so try the instructions from this post if the logs show that the Bus is the issue:
