RSM UI Preference – Base_Instance & Sample UI preference

Hi,

We are trying to configure Application Self-service Manager  to disable bandwidth settings, proxy settings, Adding description option. We have tried editing in HP CSDB:

CSDB Editor – Primary – Client – RSM UI Preference - _Base_instance

– Display Bandwidth – N,

Expand Active Catalog – Y,

Use Proxy server – N,

Discover Proxy server – N

and even in HPCA Admin CSDB Editor – Primary – Client – RSM UI Preference – SampleUI Preference

– Display Bandwidth – N,

Expand Active Catalog – Y,

Use Proxy server – N,

Discover Proxy server – N,

But the settings won’t appear...

and advice will be appreciated,

thanks a ton!

Re: RSM UI Preference – Base_Instance & Sample UI preference

Hi,

Once you have modified the RSM UI settings, you need to ensure that the same settings get propagated to the client as well.

I believe it will help if you add a connection for "SampleUI Preference" to CLIENT.LOCATION._NULL_INSTANCE.  This will ensure that along with all the other settings, the UI preferences are also updated at the client end.
