Dragging and dropping files from directory into HPRM to create new records and populate fields.

Hi, I'm currently working with HPRM 8.2 and want a better way to create records.

Is it possible to create a word document (or something) that would have information such as title, Record number and specific notes and when I drag it into HPRM, it would create the new record and automatically fill out the title Record number and notes field? Could this also be done in bulk?

thanks

Hi Chopsuix

There are a number of fields that can be filled in automatically..  Have a look under the system options on the record tab.. Setting " Extract metadata contained within content of the document. These include fields such as Title, Creator and Date created.

The record number can be system generated if that helps? That setting comes under management in the record type definitions and numbering section.
