Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

We need the full session report (complete text from the very beginning to the end) and information like the Data Protector version (omnicheck -patches and omnisv -version), operating system and application you want to backup and if this ever worked.

The omnicheck -patches and omnisv -version outputs have been attached with this message, please find the attachment.
We are installed this data protector in windows server 2008 and we are using this data protector to take backup of the SAP Application.
And it is last worked on 2014.

thanks

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

Does that mean the backup did not work for 2 years? From my point of view not all the required Data Protector components are installed on the client miprd or the client is not fully reachable. Please make sure it has Disk Agent, Oracle and SAP R3 integration installed and is properly imported in the cell.

You should really consider upgrading to a recent version of Data Protector. As of today version A.08.15 and A.09.07 are supported.

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

Hi,

Actually we have our production system also configured with the data protector and the backup is smooth in that system.

but the problem is only with the other systems. so can you kindly guide me how to check all the required Data Protector components are installed on the client miprd and also check the client is fully reachable or not.

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

Since the backup does not work connect to the client in question and remove the Data Protector software completely.

Then do a fresh client installation from GUI using push installation (Client context => Add client, remember to specify credentials in Options tab) OR run setup from the Omniback share on the Windows installation server and import the client from GUI using Import Client from Clients context.

If the job was configured correctly in the past it should run. If not, you need to reconfigure the SAP integration. You can check the integration guide in the Docs folder on your Cell Manager for this.

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

I have a some doubt,

And also please guide me check wheather the Application server is reachable from the data protector system.

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

If I say Client I mean the system you want to backup, but fails. It is miprd in your case. Reinstall the Data Protector software on this system.

The Cell Manager is the backup server that hosts the Internal Database (IDB) of Data Protector. There is no need to touch this system. This is icfbackup in your case.

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

What is the operating system of the MIP server? You Cell Manager is running Windows 2008, right?

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

Please execute those commands on the MIP server to see what is installed and if it is running. Is there an UNIX installation server in this cell?

rpm -qa | grep OB2
/opt/omni/lbin/dma -version telnet localhost 5555

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

You have a mixture of Data Protector A.06.11 and A.06.20 installed which is not supported. I would remove the agent complely and start from scratch. Again, is there an UNIX Installation Server available in this cell? Check GUI => Clients => Installation Servers?

If not, we need to use the correct UNIX/Linux media kit for the Data Protector release. Please share the following output from Cell Manager.

omnicheck -patches
omnisv -version

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

There is no UNIX Installation Server available in this cell, only linux servers are configured with the data protector.

and i cannot able to check the below commands in MIPRD server.

omnicheck -patches
omnisv -version

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

A Linux installation server is also a valid UNIX installation server. This means bidevqly should be enough for what I want to do. Good news.

Have you tried to upgrade the client miprd from GUI using Clients => Right click on miprd => Upgrade? What is the result?

If this fails, right click on the client and select Remove and also remove software if prompted. Then perform a push installation to miprd agian using Clients => Add Clients => Select the UNIX Installation server.

This was more or less expected, try to uninstall the client and install the components again remotely.

If remote uninstallation fails (see above), we need to uninstall all components using rpm command on the Linux server. After that the agent should be completely uninstalled and can be installed again.

rpm -qa OB2*
rpm -e OB2-DB2-A-06.11-1 rpm -e OB2-INTEG-A-06.11-1 rpm -e OB2-MA-A.06.11-1 rpm -e OB2-DA-A.06.11-1 rpm -e OB2-CC-A-06.11-1 rpm -e OB2-CORE-A.06.20-1
rpm -qa OB2*

Re: [Critical] None of the Disk Agents completed successfully. Session has failed.

No, this is just an agent while licensing only happens on the Cell Manager.
