Hi all,

Well, after a lot of try and fail, I got to a solution that work for me.

On the oracle backup specification I just disabled the Data Protector managed control file option ... and that's all folks!

Backup works fine now.

As mentioned early in the post, it is important to have DNS well configured as well be able to ping / nslookup / telnet between client and CellMan.

Hope it will help someone in the future

Regards!

Hello,

Try to add the information for name resolution for each server involved on hosts file. Like this

IP_Address       FQDN       ShortName.

Then retry.

Also, check the user used to perform the backup and check permissions on Oracle.

Hello Victor,

First of all thanks for reply.

The hosts files are good, exactly on the format you mentioned, and the user has the "sysadmin" role.

All seems good from this point of view.

Any idea or approach to solve this problem!?
