From IDOL 10 indextasks to IDOL 11 CFS

Jump to solution

Hallo all, here me back again with a new issue:

I'm trying to migrate an old IDOL 10 configuration to IDOL 11 (in particular i'm trying to migrate old IDOL 10 indextask service to the actual IDOL 11 structure)

I'm reading the IDOL 11 manual and it reports the following tip:

TIP: CFS has most of the processing functionality that is available in the deprecated IDOL IndexTasks component. HPE recommends that you use CFS to process your documents before indexing where possible, instead of the IndexTasks IDOL component. For information about how to convert an existing IndexTasks installation to use CFS, refer to the IndexTasks to CFS Technical Note.

I search the document "IndexTasks to CFS Technical Note" over the internet with no results.

Can anyone tell me where to find it please?

Thank you very much for any help,

Pietro

You sould be able to see the link.

Re: From IDOL 10 indextasks to IDOL 11 CFS

Thank you very much for the link.

I read it and it says that:

Index tasks are configured in the [IndexTasks] section of the CFS configuration file.

So my question became:

In IDOL 10 I can describe my task as a flow defined in the indextasks configuration and a possible example could be:

[IndexTasks]
StartTask=A

// Route is an if (Parameter1 Condition Parameter2) then OnTrueTask else OnFalseTask
[A]
Module=Route
Condition=Exists
Parameter1=DRECONTENT
OnTrueTask=B
OnFalseTask=C
NoDocAction=False

[B]
Module=FieldOp
Operation=Delete
Parameter1=***SOMETHING****
NextTask=D

[C]
Module=Lua
ScriptFilename=luatasks/detectSource.lua
NextTask=E
OnFailureTask=FileWriter

... And so on...

How can I do anything similiar in CFS? Does CFS configuration accept this kind of configuration (that uses modules flow to define indextasks in his [IndexTasks] section?

I haven't find any examples about it, I hope you can suggest me something.

Thank you Tomas for any indication
