Re: an error has occurred while processing a request for: /asset manager/index.jsp

This has a low chance of yielding anything useful, but is also extremelly easy... try logging into HPAM with the Windows Client as the same User and see if there are any errors.  I have a vague memory of something like this being the result of a problem with the "On Login Action" defined for the User.  In the Windows Client you would get a Run Time Error from the action, but once you cleared it the logon would progress.  In the Web Client it might well express itself the way you are descibing.  Worth a shot.  I presume you have already done all the usual Web Client VooDoo like starting and stopping Tomcat, etc...

 Full Disclosure:  The one area of HPAM where I am not an expert is the Web Client.  I have a strong negative bias towards it, but am looking forward to testing the 9.7 version to see how far it has come.  AFAIK though Users still cannot create Custom Views without it being a DBB Change... and to me that is a non-starter for anyone is doing more than just running Wizards or highly specific activities in the Web Client.  Just about any other type of User lives and dies by their Views.

Good Luck!

If you are using Tomcat as a web-tier application just add 1 row to the conf\context.xml file into the <Context> section:

<CookieProcessor className="org.apache.tomcat.util.http.LegacyCookieProcessor" />

and then restart your Tomcat service.

Some additional info:

This is a new feature of Tomcat 8.5 and above ; regarding the Legacy Cookie Processor.
For more details on the same you can check the following articles:

The Cookie Processor Component:

How to change Cookie Processor to LegacyCookieProcessor in tomcat 8:

** Or simply implement older Tomcat version (e.g. Tomcat 8.0 )
