We are very proud to announce that the November 2017 release of the Network Operations Management suite is now available! Our first release of this suite was in August—along with the 10.3 versions of Network Node Manager i (NNMi) and Network Automation (NA). As we continue to flex our R&D muscle with our Agile development cycles, we’re very pleased to quickly follow-up with our 2017.11 NOM release along with the 10.4 versions of NNMi and NA.
Our ongoing focus is to:
- Deliver new features that enable software defined networking and support network security
- Deliver team productivity gains through a unified management experience across all elements of network management
- Deliver updates in a timely manner to keep pace with our users demands
Key New Capabilities of this release
Business Value Dashboard – We’ve added Business Value Dashboard to the Network Operations Management suite, delivering the same IT dashboards that are part of the success of our Operations Bridge suite. Now you can easily bring intelligence to IT networking data. In addition to these benefits, we’ve also developed content to provide Security Visibility throughout your organization.
Performance views with change indicators –An industry first! Network configuration change events are overlaid on network performance graphs to correlate and reduce MTTR via visual inspection and right click access to details. This capability brings the power of automation together with monitoring only through NOM suite.
Cisco ACI (SDN) Monitoring – Extending our leadership for SDN monitoring, we’ve added Cisco ACI monitoring that will discover and present a continuously visualization of Cisco ACI with normalized topology and alerts. This monitoring is also available in Network Node Manager i 10.4.
CDF Delivery for NOM Express – Our first Container Deployment Foundation delivery – a great way to explore NOM in the lab or in production. The foundation simplifies the installation and management experience for users when compared to multiple installers for classic point products.
Configurations change verified by results – We’re really putting some intelligence behind our device automation including a new capability to automatically roll back if devices don’t meet specified criteria after updates. This capability is also available in Network Automation 10.4.
We’re very excited to see the new extended capabilities of the 2017.11 release and the benefits they provide for our customers. We’re especially proud of our velocity in development as we’ve made tremendous strides since the 2017.08 release—which was just released a few months ago.
