I don't know if you need a babysitter. Automation needs to be managed in a way that the business and technical objectives are carefully configured to respond to the alerts and conditions that trigger them. They should not be configure jut once and left, they need to be regularly reviewed and thresholds adjusted as business needs change and/or technical environments change. Automation then needs the intelligence to know how to respond to those alerts and route to the approach channel for investigation and resolution or to start a process. This requires that the configuration has a knowledgable Business Articecture who understands both the technical and business requirements.
