Required help for log streaming using operations agent in OBA

Hi Team,

We want to configure log streaming using operations agent in MicroFocus Tools service portal which is in a docker.

As checked in NFS Server the log file containts in the path mentioned below:

op_tig/var/vols/itom/itsma/global-volume/logs/xservices/platform

But under platform director there are several directory with different names as the name get changed after server is rebooted. Also in each direcorty there are several log files of which the file name get changed.

Kindly suggest how can we configure in OBA for log sreaming.

Kindly find list for directory and log file name.

Directory Name:

[root@host01 platform]# ls -lrt

Re: Required help for log streaming using operations agent in OBA

Creating a Generic Output from Structured Log File policy and then matching that with a Data Forwarding policy is the standard way to stream logs into OBA.

From this reference: https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Operations_Bridge_Manager:2018.11/OMi/AdminGuide/Monitoring/PolicyTemplates/om_uc_pt_structured_logfile

it says: "You can use an asterisk (<*>) wildcard in the Log File Path / Name field to match multiple file names"

I do not know if the syntax can be extended like this:  /path/to/logs/itom-xservices-platform-<*>/<*>

An alternative is to write "instrumentation" which would be a program that returns a file list. I googled this (old) reference:

https://community.softwaregrp.com/t5/Operations-Manager-i-User/HP-OMi-10-01-How-to-create-your-own-instrumentation/td-p/809620
