There is any procedure to migrate safely a content pack over OBR?

Re: How to migrate content pack from SHR 9.41 to OBR 10.22

HI,

See if you want to migrate the custom content pack please go through the Chapter 7 in migration guide you will get all the details.(Note: Please follow the instruction which is provided in the migration guide don't miss the any steps).

For out of box migration i think it is not required to migrate the CP. As per document you just install the how many CP's you were installed in the SHR machine same CP's you need to install in the OBR machine but don't create the new Topology source while you are migrating from SHR to OBR the topology source will be migrated.

Kindly let me know if you need more information or clarificattion.

Re: How to migrate content pack from SHR 9.41 to OBR 10.22

Hi,

If it is a custom content, please ensure you have

a. Mentioned the topologysource element in the manifest xml as for eg. RTSM. Sample below for reference:

    <metadata>
        <property name="topologysource" value="RTSM"/>
        <property name="content" value="System Performance"/>
        <property name="publisher" value="Hewlett Packard Enterprise"/>
    </metadata>

b. Copied the generated packages to $PMDB_HOME/packages folder.

Kindly confirm the above.

Thanks & Regards,
