Re: Ajax truclient

For the most part, object identification in TruClient is automatic.

During recorded, the objects with which you interact are identified and stored for replay.

If the automatic identification does not match your needs for your application, you can enhance it:

  • Improve the automatic identification by re-selecting the object that might have changed.
  • Select a related anchor-object, to help identify the object in question.
  • Specify yourself how you'd like to object to be found. You can use Descriptors, XPath or JavaScript code.

See this help page about the 'Object' section in TruClient steps: https://admhelp.microfocus.com/tc/en/12.55/Content/TruClient/ui/_tc_ui_steps_structure.htm#hp-minitoc-item-3

Re: Ajax truclient

I use Descriptors once in a while, and XPath a lot. Tinker with that a bit.
