Information on accessing the projects

Hi,

Is there a way for  group of people need to access all project detail and run reports for only a specific set of particular projects but not any other projects . Is there functionality currently built into PPM that would allow us to provide certain users with program/project manager level access to a specific group of projects.

Thanks,

Naveen Kumar.

Re: Information on accessing the projects

To add them to specific set of projects you can add them to Project Stakeholder section.

Re: Information on accessing the projects

Hi Mishra,

If we add the users to project stakeholder then users can see the project status. is it necessary that users should have project management access.

Thanks,

Naveen Kumar.

Re: Information on accessing the projects

If you just want to view Project then user must have "View Projects" grants; whereas if you want to view task or workplan or Projects issue/risk/scope change the you must give users "Project Management License".

Summary (about access grants):

View Projects -> You need to add specifcy uses to Stakeholder or Task resource or Staffing Profile (based on your project settings)

View All Projects -> Will give grants to view all the Projects

Here is the snippet from HP Guide:
