StormRunner for testing on premise applications with cloud based load generators

Is it possible to use StormRunner cloud based load generators to test on premise applications. If so, how is this enabled?

Re: StormRunner for testing on premise applications with cloud based load generators

Hi

You can, but it will require you to open up certain ports in the FW to enable the communication from StormRunner Load cloud based load generators to your on premise application.

I say "certain ports" as this depends on the type of AUT you're trying to load. if this is a web application, just open the needed port it is run on (80, 8080 or which ever is configured) and you're good to go.

Hope this helps,

Lior

For an enterprise with hundreds of apps, is this practical?

99% are web applications. Typically Java web front end, with mainframe backend.

Italy has mostly web apps, the difference being they are a .NET shop.
